After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:1. Utilize fine needle aspiration (FNA) biopsy in the diagnosis of SG lesions.2. Individualize surgery of malignant SG neoplasms to improve outcomes.3. Follow the principles of facial nerve management when treating patients with parotid carcinoma.4. Choose the appropriate type of neck dissection for management of melanoma in the head and neck area.5. Summarize the present and potential role of sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) in pathologic staging of head and neck melanomas and regional control of disease.
